Song: Jack Johnston "Do you Remember?" This illustration was inspired by a song from Jack Johnson. In this song, he describes a tree he loves burning down and my favorite line...."I took a picture that I don't like to look at"... I listened to the song over and over again to really understand the "theme" that I would incorporate into my illustration. I decided to do an abstract interpretation and added to the piece a little with 2 trees. The colors I chose were based on the "mellow" tunes of the song. I also tried to play with the design of the tree, making the branches resemble hearts in some areas to reflect the love story in the song.
